Presented by Homeland, the spring season kicks into gear with a special sale on Zoo admission, animal enrichments, daily Golden Egg Safaris with a variety of prizes, and the newly opened Dinosaur Expedition during Spring Break, March 14-22, 2026.
DISCOUNTED OKC ZOO ADMISSION ON SALE NOW AT HOMELAND STORES
Visit select Homeland Grocery Stores before Sunday, March 22 to purchase general admission tickets to the Oklahoma City Zoo for just $15 each. That’s a 25 percent discount! Can’t make it out during Spring Break? No problem! The tickets are valid through December 31, 2026.
DINOSAUR EXPEDITION PRESENTED BY MATHIS HOME OPENS MARCH 6!
The million-year wait is over, as Dinosaur Expedition presented by Mathis Home opens Saturday, March 6! This immersive exhibit features more than 60 animatronics dinosaurs, dino skeletons, interactive fossil digs, and dino-themed children’s rides. Discover the Zoo’s new Virtual Reality (VR) experience Dinosaur: Evolution, narrated by renowned paleontologist Dr. Phillip Manning. This VR experience will only be available during Dinosaur Expedition in the Love’s Pachyderm Building.
Single entry tickets to Dinosaur Expedition are $9 per person ages 3 and up ($7 for ZOOfriends members). General Zoo admission is also required. Single rides are $6, or try a ride package with three rides for $15. Guests can bundle their experiences for additional savings by purchasing the Adventure Ticket which includes unlimited same-day entry to Dinosaur Expedition, Explorikeet feedings, and Endangered Species Carousel rides for $15 per person ages 3 and up (or $12 per person for ZOOfriends members). ZOOfriends members can keep the fun roaring with a Season Pass at just $28 per person for unlimited visits. Dinosaur Expedition is located adjacent to the Zoo’s Jungle Gym Playground and will be open daily through Sunday, November 1, 2026.
OKC ZOO GOLDEN EGG SAFARI: SATURDAY, MARCH 14 THROUGH SUNDAY, MARCH 22
Don’t miss the Oklahoma City Zoo Golden Egg Safari and the chance to walk away with a wild prize! Twenty golden eggs are hidden each morning and afternoon each day of Spring Break. Golden eggs will be hidden along the Zoo’s public pathways only and not in animal or garden areas. Lucky guests who find an egg can return it to the Guest Services office in the Plaza to collect a prize including Homeland gift cards, free Zoo plush, Wild Encounter experiences, and more. Limited to one Golden Egg per family, per day.
SPRING BREAK ANIMAL ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES PRESENTED BY HOMELAND: MONDAY, MARCH 16 THROUGH SATURDAY, MARCH 21
Members of the Oklahoma City Zoo’s animal family will be treated to a variety of tasty and engaging enrichment items throughout Spring Break. Guests are invited to attend these daily enrichment activities and watch as animals interact with unique items created for them by their caretakers as part of the Zoo’s ongoing animal enrichment program. Enrichment activities will occur morning and afternoon daily, March 16-21, and are free to attend with Zoo admission. The enrichment schedule will be shared on the Zoo’s social platforms and on map.okczoo.org/home, and is listed here:
- Monday, March 16: 10 a.m.: Hyenas (Expedition Africa presented by Inasmuch Foundation) / 2 p.m.: Zebras and Wildebeests (Predator Pass)
- Tuesday, March 17: 10 a.m.: Galapagos Tortoises (Children’s Zoo presented by Primrose Schools) / 2 p.m.: Elephants (Sanctuary Asia)
- Wednesday, March 18: 10 a.m.: Rhinos (Sanctuary Asia) / 1 p.m.: Gorillas (The Great EscApe)
- Thursday, March 19: 10 a.m.: Cheetahs (Predator Pass) / 1 p.m.: African Crested Porcupines

ANIMAL AMBASSADOR ENCOUNTERS
Meet the Zoo’s animal ambassadors as they make appearances throughout Spring Break. Weather permitting, ambassador animals and their caretakers will be in the Love’s Pachyderm Building from 10 a.m. to noon and in the Children’s Zoo (pavilion near the Galapagos tortoise habitat) from noon to 2 p.m. daily from Saturday, March 14 through Sunday, March 22. Animal ambassador presentations are included with general Zoo admission.

The OKC Zoo is over 100 acres of fun and discover! During Spring Break, guests can have more time to explore as the Oklahoma City Zoo will stay open until 6 p.m. with final entry allowed at 5 p.m.
OKC ZOO HOSTS OUR BLOOD INSTITUTE DRIVE: SATURDAY, MARCH 14 FROM 9 A.M. TO 1:30 P.M.
Calling all donors! Our Blood Institute (OBI) is hosting a blood drive at the OKC Zoo’s Education Center on Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All donors will receive a T-shirt and a general admission voucher to the OKC Zoo. Plus, donors will be entered to win a Dinosaur Expedition Adventure Package! Zoo vouchers may be used throughout the remainder of the year.
