Vendor B1 Ranch Designs honors history by repurposing antique farm equipment

Oklahoma City, September 13, 2021 - A family-run business is perhaps one of the oldest ways of operating a business. That rings true for B1 Ranch Designs. Running their small business is a family priority. B1 Ranch Designs started in 2015, but the small business came from an actual ranch called B1 Ranch located between Yukon and El Reno. B1 Ranch Designs, www.b1ranch.com, resells vintage products and sliding barn door hardware and will be one of the many vendors at the upcoming Vintage Market Days, www.vintagemarketdays.com/market/oklahoma-city, event on October 1-3.

Mary Jane Bone, B1 Ranch Designs Co-Owner, recounted what inspired her family business, “My husband and I would frequent farm auctions, trying to buy equipment for our working ranch. Unfortunately, we saw more 'dust bowl babies’ leave their farms so their estates were dispersed. I was shocked to learn that most of the antique farm equipment was being sold as scrap to be melted down. This ignited our passion to not only save, but to honor our history and repurpose these items into high end decor. You never know what interesting items you may find at our booth during Vintage Market Days! We love to have the story behind special pieces so they can become the center of conversation when you bring them into your home.”

Bone said operating B1 Ranch Designs takes the whole family, “This is a 100% family operation with everyone working their part. Our teenage children, Madeline and Connor, are both expected to roll up their sleeves and pitch in. The kids know a family who works together, succeeds together. And we all love selling at Vintage Market Days.”

Vintage Market Days is an upscale vintage-inspired market event that will take place on the lawn of The Pointe of Chisholm Creek in Oklahoma City.

Erica Parker, Vintage Market Days Owner and Event Coordinator, said, “B1 Ranch Designs is a perfect fit for Vintage Market Days. Not only are they completely vintage, they’re also a local small family-run business.”

Parker said out of the more than 100 booths that will be at Vintage Market Days, about half of them are family-run businesses.

Parker continued, “Vintage Market Days is also a family-run business and it gives me joy to provide a platform to other families to do what they love while making a living spending time with their families and making memories they will cherish forever.”

Vintage Market Days’ theme for the event is "Vintage Soul.” Parker said that she has always had an old soul or vintage soul and she loves to share that passion with others. Vintage Market Days curates a charming family atmosphere for shoppers to find the best vintage, handmade, home decor, and boutique vendors together in one place. Featured items include original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, outdoor furnishings, and more. There will also be live music and food trucks. The Reckless Saints of Nowhere is the charity beneficiary for the event.
