The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon weekend kicks off Friday, April 22, with a concert  featuring the Josh Abbott Band. This family friendly, free concert in Scissortail Park starts at 6:00p.m. The Josh Abbott Band takes the stage at 7:30p.m. with Jason Scott and The High Heat opening at 6:00p.m. The 22nd  annual Run to Remember events take place April 22-24 with something for everyone, all weekend long. 

“The entire Oklahoma City community steps up to make the Memorial Marathon a Run to Remember,” said Kari Watkins, Race Director. “This kickoff concert is our thank you to the runners, volunteers, Marathon partners and the community.”  

A staple in the Texas music scene since forming in 2006, the Josh Abbott Band have weathered many storms together. According to the band, their 2021 album, The Highway Kind, is the product of years long friendships and growth. 

The Friday night concert, and Finish Line Festival are presented by Continental Resources. This race marks the tenth year Continental has partnered with the Memorial Marathon.
