Theatre Crude Fringe Festival is a two-week event in Oklahoma City showcasing creative and original theatrical artists. With a focus on adventure, Theatre Crude strives to give patrons an opportunity to explore as many different genres and styles of theatre as possible. The Fringe Festival aims to provide unique perspectives into everything that theatrical performance has to offer.

The key to Theatre Crude Fringe Festival 2019’s line-up is variety: comedy, dance, drama, and more. For example, Presence allows audience members to change the course of the story with their phones; and Gravel Road Show presents Oklahoma, USA! is a group of UCO-trained clowns fresh off a performance run at The Fringe in Edinburgh, Scotland. With three to six different performances available each day, audiences binge as much theatre as possible in a single day, or spread out their experience with a single performance each night. Information on the full line-up can be found at theatrecrude.org/thelineup.

Fringe festivals occur in most major cities across the globe; this is the first in Oklahoma. All performers are welcome in Fringe, regardless of professional or amateur status. No restrictions are made as to the nature, style, theme or content of the performance. Low technical production inspires artists to focus on story and creativity. Low ticket prices inspire audiences to take chances and explore. Co-Founder Jenny Brand says, “Fringe is born from a passion for creativity, exploration and adventure. It is fresh from the ground, unrefined.”

Tickets are $15 for an individual performance. Multi-ticket passes and unlimited passes are available and provide a lower per-performance price. Tickets and passes are available for purchase online at theatrecrude.org/tickets by calling the festival Box Office at (405) 673-1061, or at the door at the time of performance. Due to the intimate nature of the venues, reservations are highly encouraged as performances are expected to sell out.
