OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (June 3, 2025) – Registration is open for RIVERSPORT’s next league season with opportunities including dragon boating, whitewater rafting and rowing. The seasons begins July and last multiple weeks ending in championship racing.
Dragon Boat League
Dragon Boat League teams include 11 to 15 paddlers in an oversized canoe with a dragon head and tail. Paddlers race to the beat of a drummer, combining fun and competition. Divisions include Open (all ages, men and women) and Wise Dragons, a division for senior paddlers.
· One 90-minute practice each week for 10 weeks with coaching
· The season runs July 13-Oct 3, 2025
· Season pricing starts at $1,700 per team, including lessons, coaching, race entry fees and equipment
· Championship race during OG&E NightSprints at the Oklahoma Regatta Festival
· Team members (age 18 and up) receive unlimited access to Chesapeake Boathouse fitness facilities and RIVERSPORT Adventures (excluding the SandRidge Sky Zip)
Whitewater Rafting League
The Whitewater Rafting League offers five weeks of guided rafting on RIVERSPORT’s whitewater rapids.
· Teams include six to eight paddlers
· Practices are once a week for 90 minutes. No experience is required.
· The season runs July 10–Aug. 7 and includes racing at Paddlemania on July 19 and the championship race at the OklaFlow Surf Championships on Aug. 16
RIVERSPORT Rowing League
Anyone interested in learning more about rowing can register as a team or register as an individual and be placed in a community boat.
· RIVERSPORT Rowing League runs July 7–Oct. 3.
· Practices are once a week for 90 minutes. No experience is required.
· Teams train for 11 weeks with weekday and weekend practice options
· The season ends with championship racing during the OG&E NightSprints at the Oklahoma Regatta Festival on October 3.
