(OKLAHOMA CITY) – Automobile Alley Association and Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership will host the sixth annual Lights On Broadway as part of Downtown in December presented by Devon. The fun returns for four Saturdays this season: Nov. 20, Nov. 27, Dec. 4, and Dec. 11 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Retail shops and restaurants will feature buzz-worthy window displays in addition to family-friendly activities, special promotions, and giveaways.
The community is invited to enjoy stunning light displays and free outdoor programming throughout the district including free carriage rides. Attendees can sign up in advance for a free 15-minute ride. Online reservations open weekly on the Monday before each Saturday at 9 a.m. Carriage ride reservations are sold out for Nov. 20.
Free visits with Snow Globe Santa return for all four Saturdays thanks to support from Mason Realty Investors. Additional free programming includes a Magic Elf, caricatures, face painting, balloon art, and performances by the Salvation Brass Band and First United Church Carolers.
Looking for photo-worthy spots this holiday season? Getting the perfect shot for this year’s holiday card has never been easier. From the dazzling light curtains to the larger-than-life lit Christmas ornament, Automobile Alley is the destination for festive photos. More than 600,000 colorful LED lights will curtain the buildings along ten blocks of North Broadway and side streets making for a magical holiday destination Nov. 20 through Jan. 9.
The Curbside Chronicle pop-up will return each weekend at NW 9th Street and Broadway Avenue selling holiday wrapping paper benefitting the Wrap Up Homelessness program. One hundred percent of the proceeds from each package of wrapping paper go towards The Curbside Chronicle and its mission to employ and empower men and women transitioning out of homelessness in OKC.
Arrive in style on the Oklahoma City Streetcar. This will be the first weekend of complimentary fares on the Oklahoma City Streetcar. Rides are free Fridays through Sundays, beginning Nov. 19 through Jan. 2 in celebration of their third anniversary. Learn more about Oklahoma City Streetcar at OKCStreetcar.com.
