OKLAHOMA CITY – Local Credit Unions have joined together to present a free country-music concert at Scissortail Park for everyone in the community to enjoy. CU in the Park scheduled for Saturday, October 14, stars Chris Young, multi-platinum global entertainer and one of Billboard’s top country artists of the decade. The concert is free and open to the public on the Love’s Travel Stops Stage and Great Lawn at Scissortail Park.

“Credit unions were formed with the simple mission of ‘people helping people,’ and that’s exactly what Oklahoma credit unions do. This free concert is a testament to the cooperative nature of our local credit unions and represents how we serve our community in unique ways.” – Allegiance Credit Union President/CEO, Amy Downs

“We are excited to bring this free concert to Oklahoma City so people can enjoy some great music and discover what credit unions mean in the community. At our heart we are simply people helping people,” said Dave Willis, CEO of Tinker Federal Credit Union, one of the five area credit unions collaboratively hosting this concert. “Credit union member-owners are our neighbors, coworkers and friends. We enjoy being the community’s not-for-profit answer to financial services. All of us involved in this concert look forward to seeing you in Scissortail Park as we collectively express our thanks with a fun event for the community.”
