Minco, Oklahoma — November 4, 2025 — Emmy-winning entertainer and Minco native Lucas Ross will return home for a special benefit concert featuring The Oklahoma Opry Band on Tuesday, November 4 at 7:00 PM at the Minco High School Auditorium (701 SW 3rd St., Minco, OK).
Ross has performed with the Oklahoma Opry often on their stage, and in 2022 released the live album There Will Be Banjo: Lucas Ross Live at the Oklahoma Opry! This homecoming performance marks his return to the town where his musical journey began.
“It’s not that I haven’t been home to Minco, in a while,” Lucas said, “I try to always make the Honey Festival- but this is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time to give back to the town that gave me so much.”
The evening will feature Lucas’ brand of music, comedy, and surprise moments as Ross and the band help raise funds for the renovation of the Minco Community Center and Chamber Office building on Main Street, benefitting the entire community.
Deana Walje, of Blossom Time Shops and who serves on the Minco Chamber of Commerce, approached Lucas over the summer looking for a chance to help them with a fundraiser.
“We have a building we want to make available for the community to use for events or even a safe hang out for our youth,” Deana Walje stated, “but it’s in dire need of repair and this event would help us finish our vision.”
In addition, all proceeds from Lucas’ merchandise sold at the event will support the Minco Softball Team as they continue recovering from the September bus accident. The American Banjo Museum has donated a special “Kermit green” ukulele to be raffled in support of the team, as well.
“This is a chance to bring my songs and some incredibly talented musicians back to where it all began,” said Ross. “I hope everyone will come out for a great night and help support some good causes.”

About the Oklahoma Opry
The Oklahoma Opry grew from a love of music and a love of family and has become an important part of Oklahoma’s musical culture and history. Starting as a backyard gathering of family and friends who loved to play and sing country music, the Opry was formed and grew under the guidance of Granville “Grant” Leftwich (1929 – 2006). Starting at the OKC National Guard Armory as a family-oriented country show, the “Oklahoma Opry” was officially launched in 1977 in the renovated Knob Hill theater located in the Capitol Hill district of Oklahoma City. Later, moving into the historic Stockyards district in 2004, the Opry found its new home in the Rodeo Theater where it thrived from 2004-2020 as the Rodeo Opry. Reclaiming its original name in 2021, the Oklahoma Opry relocated to OKC's top entertainment district where they are in the process of purchasing and renovating their new home on the Bricktown canal. Until complete, the Oklahoma Opry and music classes are being temporarily held in ACM@UCO (25 South Oklahoma Avenue, OKC 73104.)
