You’re invited to a Mardi Gras style celebration as KREWE DE BANJO returns to the American Banjo Museum for a fun-filled night of New Orleans Jazz in Bricktown OKC at 6:00 PM on Saturday, February 21. An annual tradition, the festive concert with the music and fun synonymous with the Crescent City, will set the mood for the best Mardi Gras party west of New Orleans.

The New Orleans-style jazz band, Krewe de Banjo, features American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame member and museum executive director, Johnny Baier as its leader along with "home grown" - but nationally known - jazz musicians including Lee Rucker, Jeff Kidwell, Vince Norman and Glenn Dewey. “After 50 years of playing Dixieland, experiencing some of the best jazz musicians in the world right here in Oklahoma City is always an amazing treat for both me and our audiences!” said Baier.

Mardi Gras at the Museum tickets are $20 in advance, or $25 at the door. Each ticket includes two drink tickets. There will also be a wine pull with proceeds going to the museum’s mission of preserving and promoting the banjo while expanding appreciation and understanding of its music and history. In addition to the party, the entire museum is available for late-night viewing of special features including newly acquired Gibson Banjo owned by OLA BELLE REED, and current exhibit “POP! Goes the Banjo!” featuring KERMIT THE FROG.
