Midtown Walkabout is returning this weekend. The October edition, Midtown Walkabout Weekend, will take place on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 and will put you in the fall spirit with seasonal promotions and activities for those shopping, eating, and visiting the district as well as for the folks at home. Midtown merchants will provide specials, discounts, and activities for attendees during their normal operating hours each day. Attendees can also enjoy free pop-up programming such as pumpkin carving, art demonstrations, and free caricatures during designated hours as they explore the district.
Downtown OKC Guides will be surprising a few lucky event attendees with gift cards from Midtown businesses as a part of “Midtown Acts of Kindness,” which will serve as a thank you from Midtown for shopping in the district. Simply stop by the information table located on Walker Avenue and pick up an event map for a chance to randomly receive a gift card. Attendees can also pick up event maps with locations of programming and merchant specials at any of the participating businesses.
In addition to visiting Midtown in person, there will be ways to support Midtown businesses from home with special online discounts for those ordering curbside delivery or to-go. Either way, bust out the flannel and support local during Midtown Walkabout Weekend.
