Spring celebration set for Saturday, April 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

(OKLAHOMA CITY) – Midtown Walkabout returns this spring, bringing a full day of local shopping, entertainment, and family-friendly fun to the heart of Oklahoma City. The bi-annual event will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., inviting visitors to explore the Midtown district while enjoying special promotions, live music, and interactive activities throughout the neighborhood.

 

The event will once again feature exclusive in-store deals from Midtown merchants, a lively Vendor Market along Walker Avenue, and activities hosted by the Midtown Association and Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership. From pop-up experiences to performances and special promotions, Midtown Walkabout offers the perfect way to celebrate spring while discovering everything Midtown has to offer.


“Midtown Walkabout is a great opportunity for people to spend the day exploring everything Midtown has to offer,” said Jakey Dobbs, Director of District Management. “Whether you’re shopping with local vendors, enjoying live music, or visiting your favorite Midtown businesses, the event is designed to create a fun and memorable experience for visitors of all ages.”

 

Feature activities include:

  • Duck, Duck, Goose! Scavenger Hunt: Pick up a game card at the information tent and search for ducks hidden in Midtown businesses for a chance to win prizes.
  • Vendor Market on Walker Ave: A pop-up market showcasing local goods and shops from Park Place to 12th Street.
  • OKC Thunder Fan Activities: OKC Thunder Entertainers will appear at McNellie's OKC patio from 2 to 2:15 p.m.
  • LOL Cartoons: Enjoy free caricatures and face painting provided by Midtown OKC.
  • Live Music: Live music performances throughout the district.
  • Complimentary Florals: Free floral stems available to the first 500 guests, with additional arrangements available for purchase from Curbside Flowers.
  • Typewriter Poetry: On-demand poetry by Clarissa Sharp provided by Arts Council Art Moves.
  • A Novel Pop-Up: Curated group of OKC’s most talented and creative vendors at Novel Optical.
  • The Chalkboard Kitchen + Bar & Nebu Collaboration: A special food and drink pairing experience in the front courtyard.
