OKLAHOMA CITY (September 10, 2024) – The Oklahoma Regatta Festival, hosted by RIVERSPORT, will feature OG&E NightSprints on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024. As part of the event, Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company (OG&E) will bring its “Drive Electric” activation, showcasing three vehicles: two fully electric models—a Chevy Bolt and a Chevy Silverado—and one hybrid Chevy Volt.

OG&E’s setup will include an OG&E Thunderbolt, two OG&E charging stations and an OG&E tent with cornhole for attendees to enjoy.

"This event is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our commitment to sustainable energy and to engage with the community.” Kelli Hayward Walsh, Manager Community Outreach and Engagement at OG&E said. “We are eager to share the benefits of electric vehicles and to support the festival's celebration of rowing and paddling under the lights.”

The OG&E NightSprints are a highlight of the Oklahoma Regatta Festival offering spectators the chance to see exciting rowing and paddling races under the lights. The festival, running from Oct. 4-6 at the Oklahoma River, celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Oklahoma City University Head of the Oklahoma Regatta. The three-day event also features the RIVERSPORT Rowing, Rafting and Dragon Boat League Championships, PaddleMania, and fireworks on Friday and Saturday nights.
