OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Dodgers will host the Pacific Coast League Championship Series presented by Paycom Sept. 26-28 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark and tickets for the best-of-three playoff series are on sale as of 10 a.m. today.
The playoff series will feature the Dodgers who won the PCL’s first-half championship against the winner of the second half (or the second-place finisher should the Dodgers also win the second half). The Dodgers finished the first half with a 50-23 record and Las Vegas and Tacoma are currently tied for the league lead in the second half with matching 24-15 records. The Dodgers are currently in third place with a 23-16 record in the second half.
Game 1 is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 on the final $2 Tuesday and Bark in the Park nights of the season. Guests can enjoy $2 select beer, soda and bottled water from a line of Budweiser and Pepsi products, while COOP Ale Works draft beer will be available at a special rate of $3. Dogs can also join in the fun and do not need a special ticket to attend. Ticketed owners only need to fill out and turn in a waiver form at the gate in order for their dog to be admitted. Water and relief stations will be available throughout the stadium for furry companions.
Game 2 is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27 and, if necessary, Game 3 of the best-of-three series will take place at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28. The PCL Championship Series winner will advance to Las Vegas to play the International League Championship Series winner in the 2023 Triple-A National Championship Game Saturday, Sept. 30 at Las Vegas Ballpark. The Norfolk Tides won the IL’s first-half title and Lehigh Valley and Worcester currently lead the second half with matching 24-14 records.
This is the first time the PCL season has been split into halves during OKC’s Bricktown era (since 1998). OKC last won a PCL division title in 2018 and the team owns 10 PCL division titles and three PCL conference titles since 1998. In September, OKC will seek its first league championship since 1996.
The OKC Dodgers are currently in the midst of a 12-game road series and return home for a 12-game homestand at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark starting at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22 with a six-game series against Albuquerque followed by a six-game series against the Round Rock Express starting Tuesday, Aug. 29.
