Go green this St. Paddy’s Day at the Zoo with fun and enrichment for the animals
WHAT: This St. Paddy’s Day, go wild! The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden is celebrating all things green, hosting a special St. Patrick’s Day-themed enrichment event for select Zoo animals on Tuesday, March 17. Watch as your favorite animals receive festive enrichment items from their caretakers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Zoo’s green practices and conservation initiatives.
Our caretakers are dedicated to providing the best care possible for the Zoo’s animals and take pride in enriching their lives each and every day. Through the Zoo’s enrichment program, caretakers create activities and items designed to encourage natural behaviors and provide new stimuli for the animals to enjoy.
This event is free with Zoo admission and is weather-dependent. Handouts with the day’s enrichment schedule will be available at the Zoo’s Guest Services and ZOOfriends offices in the entry plaza. The schedule will also be posted on the Zoo’s website and Facebook page.
