OKLAHOMA CITY (January 26, 2023) - The Oklahoma City Museum of Art (OKCMOA) Store is excited to announce a new collaboration with local artist and designer Nicole Moan, and offer a fashion show during the Museum’s weekly Thursday evening program, Art After 5, on February 9. The “Nicole Moan Fashion Show: The Ceramic Corset Experience” will showcase baroque, romantic-style ceramic corsets strutting down a runway in Founder’s Hall, just east of the Museum Lobby.
“It’s always exciting to highlight one of our local artists carried in the Museum Store, but it’s another thing to see the artwork come to life,” said Museum Store Manager Richard Bruner. “Nicole and I have poured hours into planning this fashion show, and I’m beyond thrilled to create an avenue where we share her incredible, wearable designs with the Oklahoma City community in a playful way.”
Event-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy a cash bar featuring floral-based cocktails by WanderFolk Spirits, eat pastries by Ganache Patisserie, view all OKCMOA exhibitions on display, meet Art in Bloom 2023 participating florists, and participate in a special ticket presale to Bubbles & Blooms.
“Bubbles & Blooms is a new event concept added to our spring fundraiser, Art in Bloom,” said Kimberley Worrell, OKCMOA development director. “Bubbles & Blooms is an adult cocktail party featuring floral-inspired cocktails, light bites, skyline views on our Roof Terrace, music, and more. Tickets for this debuting event will go on sale in March; however, sponsorship ticket packages are currently available on our website.”
Tickets to see the fashion show cost $10 with the Art After 5 admission ticket, or $100 for the VIP Experience, which includes a voucher for an exclusive ceramic corset fitting by Moan during the event or at a later date, complimentary champagne, and chocolates.
