OKLAHOMA CITY BRAND INITIATIVE INVITES RESIDENTS TO SHAPE CITY’S IDENTITY
OKLAHOMA CITY — A coalition of civic organizations leading the new Oklahoma City brand initiative invites community members to provide input through a new survey, now open at visitokc.com/survey.
The initiative goes far beyond a new logo or slogan – it’s designed to build an authentic, shared story that reflects Oklahoma City’s unique identity and strengths. By participating, residents will directly influence how OKC fosters community pride, attracts top talent, recruits businesses and boosts tourism on an international stage.
The 10-minute survey is open to residents, business owners and visitors who have a connection to Oklahoma City. All responses are confidential, and participants are encouraged to take the survey before the June 30 deadline.
“Every strong civic brand starts with listening. We know Oklahoma City is complex and diverse, so to reveal a community brand that reflects this will take deep listening and community input,” said Jenny Love Meyer, chief culture officer at Love’s Travel Stops and chair of the OKC Brand Task Force. “Our hope is for local residents and businesses to engage in this process since we are all ambassadors for OKC.”
In addition to the online portal, community members can also take the survey in person at the following pop-up events:
- Dancing at the Plaza in Calle Dos Cinco — Friday, June 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.
- Scissortail Park Farmers Market — Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Juneteenth on the East Festival — Saturday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The research and engagement phase is currently underway, and the new brand is expected to be finalized and unveiled in spring 2027.
