The Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau (OKC CVB) continues to grow by adding three new staff members to the team.
Shanna Wilson, the new Director of Convention Services, works directly with meeting planners to enhance services and experiences of conventions and meetings in Oklahoma City. Prior to leading the Convention Services team, Wilson was the Logistics Coordinator at Public Strategies and also started her own business dedicated to image consulting and event management.
The CVB welcomed Katy Smith as the new Convention Sales Manager where she’s responsible for promoting Oklahoma City as a convention and meeting destination from local to international markets. Before joining the CVB, Smith was the Strategic Sourcing Manager at Creative Group, Inc.
Lastly, Sydney Callis joined the OKC CVB as the new Social Media Manager and will focus on promoting Oklahoma City as a visitor and convention destination through social media. Callis previously worked as a Digital Account Executive at Koch Communications.
“We are honored to welcome three new members to the CVB team,” said OKC CVB President Mike Carrier. “Each of these new employees bring experience and knowledge to the team that is essential during our city’s time of growth.”
