Sooners vs. Cowboys Set For December 14
Oklahoma City, OK – One of college basketball’s longest running rivalries celebrates a milestone and a new beginning on Saturday, December 14 when the University of Oklahoma Sooners take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. Tickets will go on sale through Ticketmaster to the general public on Wednesday, September 18 at 10 am.
While OU and OSU have been in competition for more than 100 years, the all-sports Bedlam Series did not come into existence until the 1999-2000 academic year. This game will mark the 250th meeting between the two schools in the 117-year-old men’s basketball series, and the first since OU’s move to the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Cowboys and Sooners have played at least once in every season since 1927-28.
“Bedlam is a great staple for Oklahoma sports, both to athletes and fans,” said Chris Semrau, Paycom Center General Manager. “We are thrilled to host such an iconic game in a neutral city where both OU and OSU fans can enjoy the continuation of the men’s basketball rivalry.”
The game time will be released at a later date, pending television assignment.
