OKLAHOMA CITY – To celebrate Halloween, Scissortail Park has created a new trick-or-treat adventure for families to enjoy from Thursday, October 26 to Saturday, October 28. ScaryTale Park features a trail of fairytale-themed stops around the Children’s Playground and Scissortail Lake. Participating children will receive treats at each stop along the trail. Scissortail Park Members receive free admission. General admission is $10 for children ages 3 – 16, $3 for adults ages 17 and over, and it is free for children ages 2 and under.
“Our team of creatives have been building and painting all new sets and vignettes for this year’s ScaryTale Park experience,” said Maureen Heffernan, CEO of Scissortail Park Foundation and Myriad Gardens Foundation. “Thanks to our sponsors Express Employment International, BancFirst, Kroger Delivery, Renewal by Andersen, and ONE Gas, we’re able to offer the community a unique family-friendly event for Halloween. We encourage families to join our membership program for free ScaryTale Park admission and to skip the general admission line. A Park membership helps us keep the grounds beautiful and offer free programming throughout the year while providing families with so many great benefits including free boat rentals, free roller skating and discounts at SPARK in the Park.”
Along the trail, families will encounter classic fairy tales such as Jack & The Beanstalk, Snow White, Hansel & Gretel, Sleepy Hollow, Peter Pan, and several newer favorites stories set in swamps and during Day of the Dead.
