Science Museum Oklahoma and Women’s Energy Network of Greater Oklahoma Host 1,500 Students and Teachers for Women in STEAM Conference

WHAT: Women’s Energy Network of Greater Oklahoma Chapter along with Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR (the National Science Foundation Oklahoma Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research), will host its annual Women in STEAM Conference at Science Museum Oklahoma from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024.

 

More than 1,500 students and teachers from 66 schools across 24 Oklahoma counties are scheduled to attend the free, one-day conference.

 

The conference immerses students from across the state in fun and exciting hands-on science activities, provides opportunities for students to meet college and university representatives from Oklahoma institutions and explore dozens of interactive hands-on science and recruitment booths as well as the entire museum, and attend an interactive career panel with women in STEM fields including engineering, meteorology, geoscience, and architecture.
