OKLAHOMA CITY — Science Museum Oklahoma is thrilled to announce a new camp for young creators: Pixel Creators: Code Your Own Adventure. This summer camp is designed for students entering grades 3–5 to increase STEM knowledge to new heights. This one-week camp will take place August 4–8, 2025, and is made possible by a generous donation of iPads from Oklahoma City-based AI and custom software consultancy, Phase 2.

Pixel Creators offers a blend of storytelling, animation, and foundational coding skills into a fun, hands-on experience. Campers will learn to bring their ideas to life through technology, gaining digital literacy and creative confidence in the process.

“Our award-winning camps have always focused on sparking curiosity and building skills for the future,” said Heather Johnston, Vice President of Programs and Education at Science Museum Oklahoma. “Thanks to Phase 2’s incredible support, we’re able to provide tools that make this experience possible. Learning to code builds confidence, critical thinking, and creativity. These are skills kids will carry with them for a lifetime.”

Science Museum Oklahoma camps have received recognition for their focus on STEM engagement, inclusive learning, and innovation in informal education. Pixel Creators expands on that tradition by empowering campers to design characters, animate scenes, and understand how coding shapes the world around them.

“Technology moves quickly, and that presents a real challenge for educators preparing our future generations,” said Kris Kettner, Chief Operating Officer of Phase 2. “The programming run by the expert team at Science Museum Oklahoma are a powerful response to that challenge,” Kettner said. “Sparking curiosity and building foundational skills in young minds is an essential investment for our community, and Phase 2 is honored to play a small role in supporting this mission.”
