OKCMOA announces programming and tickets to be available soon

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art (OKCMOA) today announced tickets to SONIC Family Discovery Week will be available online or at any Metropolitan Library location beginning Monday, February 27. OKCMOA will host its semi-annual SONIC Family Discovery Week the week of spring break starting Tuesday, March 14, running through Sunday, March 19.  

Families can enjoy art-making activities, screenings of several New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF) films, and story time with the Metropolitan Library System. Visitors can also view the special exhibitions Fighters for Freedom: William H. Johnson Picturing Justice and Art and Activism at Tougaloo College. Admission to the Museum is always free for children 17 and under. Adults can secure free admission by reserving a ticket online using promo code "FDWMAR23," or by picking up a free admission pass from any of the 19 Metropolitan library locations. Free admission and all activities for the week are made possible by SONIC, America’s Drive-In, with a crown-making activity provided by MetroFamily Magazine.

Between February 27 and March 19, families can visit select Metropolitan Library locations* for a free admission pass for each adult 18 and over while supplies last. They can then bring that pass to the Museum during operating hours March 14-19 to receive one free admission per adult and enjoy time together at OKCMOA. The Museum is currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for Winter hours, however, it will open specially Tuesday, March 14 to kick off Family Discovery Week.
