Arts Council Oklahoma City has made the decision to move Sunday Twilight Concert Series out of the Myriad Gardens for June’s scheduled performances. Instead of gathering at the park, the series will now be live streamed from the stage of The Jones Assembly.  Sunday Twilight Concert Series (STCS) is a free summer outdoor concert series usually held at the Myriad Gardens.  However, due to health safety and public gathering guidelines, the first month of Summer Twilight Concert Series will now be enjoyed from home. “While we’d love to see the familiar faces of the OKC community fill the lawn of the Myriad Gardens each Sunday, our main goal is to ensure the health and safety of our artists and guests,” says Seth Lewis, STCS Projects Director, “We are thankful for the team at The Jones Assembly for allowing us to take over their beautiful stage so we can continue providing this fun and entertaining series to the community.”

The Jones Assembly recently hosted a livestream performance of The Wise Guys for Arts Council Oklahoma City’s Festival of the Arts on April 25th, 2020. “We had a very successful livestream concert from the Wise Guys graciously hosted by The Jones Assembly on what would have been Saturday night of Festival of the Arts.  Over 4,000 people watched the show online and that got us thinking what a great alternative location The Jones Assembly could be if STCS had to move out of the park,” says Peter Dolese, Executive Director. “We’re very excited to support Arts Council OKC and host the Twilight Concert Series,” says Graham Colton, Partner of The Jones Assembly, “We’re fortunate to be a place where our guests can once again gather responsibly and also enjoy one of OKC’s top tier concert series from the outdoor patio.”

Sunday Twilight Concert Series runs June through August. Performers have been confirmed however stage location after June has yet to be determined. “We will continue to evaluate bringing the Sunday Twilight Concert Series back into the park safely within the guidelines set by City officials,” says Lewis, “We’ll work together to do what’s best for all parties involved.”

The series kicks off with Jazz/Swing music form Talk of the Town Orchestra on June 7th, 7:30pm. Visit www.artscouncilokc.com/twilight/ to see the full summer line up. View livestream performances at www.facebook.com/ArtsCouncilOKC/
