Oklahoma City, OK (April 4, 2023) – The 46th Annual Paseo Arts Festival is happening next month! The festival will take place during Memorial Day Weekend, May 27 and 28 from 10 am-8 pm, and May 29 from 10 am-5 pm. It’s the time of year for visitors to enjoy thousands of original artwork from artists across the country. In addition, visitors can enjoy a variety of food trucks and live entertainment.

With a record amount of applications from artists and performers, official selections for the festival have been finalized. Performers for this year include Uncle Zep, Edgar Cruz and Stephen Salewon. Food will be provided by popular favorites and new vendors such as Let’s Do Greek, Taco El Paso, Rolling Cafe and Barbells & Barbecue. The complete list of artists, food vendors and performers can be found on the Paseo’s websites. “We are so excited about this year’s festival as I know it will be the best one yet,” states Amanda Bleakley, executive director of the Paseo Arts Association.

This year’s festival artwork was designed by Bryan Dahlvang. Dahlvang is a U.S. Air Force veteran and graduate of Oklahoma City University. As a painter and graphic designer, his portfolio includes visual material for the First Combat Communications Group and the murals inside the Lindsey Air Station. Dahlvang’s design features the Oklahoma state animals: the American bison and the scissor-tailed flycatcher. Dahlvang’s design will be featured in festival posters, t-shirts and marketing.

Anyone who is wanting to volunteer in the festival can sign up through the Paseo Arts District’s website. Volunteers play a major role in the festival, with shifts including beverage tents, music stages, the children’s area, festival information, artist hospitality, festival merchandise, parking attendant and recycle rangers. More information about volunteering can be found at thepaseo.org/festival.
