The Popular Traveling Exhibition Leaves Science Museum Oklahoma After Sept. 13

OKLAHOMA CITY, Sept. 1, 2026 — Time is running out to see Barbie™ You Can Be Anything™: The Experience at Science Museum Oklahoma in partnership with Mattel Inc., a leading global play and family entertainment company and owner of one of the most iconic brand portfolios in the world. After a summer of inspiring guests to imagine what their futures can hold, the popular traveling exhibition will move on after September 13 to continue on its national tour.

 

The Barbie™ You Can Be Anything™: The Experience produced by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is included with general admission and invites Science Museum Oklahoma guests to explore their interests through imaginative play while discovering careers and influential female figures throughout history who broke barriers in their fields.

 

Over the past 65+ years, Barbie has represented more than 250 careers, inspiring generations to dream big. This exhibition offers kids the opportunity to explore the vast range of careers as well as what role type best fits their own interests and aspirations.

 

“Barbie encourages the kind of imaginative play that teaches us that no matter our gender, ethnicity or background, we can make the world a better place by doing what excites us, challenges us, and brings us fulfillment,” said Jennifer Pace Robinson, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

 

“I am no exception to the generations of children who were inspired by Barbie to imagine what they could become,” said Sherry Marshall, John E. Kirkpatrick President and CEO of Science Museum Oklahoma. “With only two weeks left for guests to be inspired by Barbie™ You Can Be Anything™: The Experience, we hope families who haven’t visited yet will take advantage of the opportunity before it leaves Oklahoma City.”
