Families can hop into the Easter spirit with the Zoo’s wild breakfast events featuring a Kinder Joy Easter Egg Scramble, other egg-citing activities!

Celebrate Easter and the spring season at the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden’s new Eggstravaganza presented by Kinder Joy®. The OKC Zoo is hosting two family-friendly breakfast events on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17, providing guests the opportunity to watch the Zoo’s wildlife wakeup with exclusive early entry into the park at 7:30 a.m. Attendees will also enjoy a grab-and-go breakfast, meet and greet plus photos with the Easter Bunny, a private sea lion presentation and other egg-citing activities. These wild mornings also include special egg scrambles ideal for children 3 to 6 years of age with Kinder Joy treat + toy, Zoo souvenirs and dairy free candies.

Jump at the chance to help the Zoo dye eggs for select animals to find and devour during the event. Using animal safe food dye, Eggstravaganza guests can decorate an egg with their favorite colors and designs. Caretakers will distribute the eggs to various animals as enrichment, which is anything different that aims to encourage an animals’ natural behaviors, then guests can go and find their specially designed egg. Andean condors, African painted dogs, coyotes, bears, small cats, and Komodo dragons will receive eggs from approximately 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Eggstravaganza breakfast meals will be served in the Zoo’s Canopy Restaurant and include assorted bagels and assorted cream cheeses, fresh fruit cups, assorted pastries and doughnuts, fruit juices, coffee, water, and tea. Seating will be available on a first come, first serve basis. After these tasty breakfast bites, the egg-tivities continue as guests will meet an animal ambassador then little ones can hop down to the Devon Picnic Grounds to participate in the egg scramble events perfect for those 3 to 6 years of age. The morning concludes with a splash as attendees partake in a private sea lion presentation at 10 a.m.

Event admission for Eggstravaganza is $35 per person 12 and older, $32 per child 3-11 for ZOOfriends members. Admission for non-members is $44 per person 12 and older, $41 per child 3-11. Children 2 years and younger are free. Advance online reservations are required for Eggstravaganza and can be made at www.okczoo.org. Ticket sales are final. This event is non-refundable and no date changes will be offered therefore please plan accordingly.

Wildlife fans of all ages are also invited to complete the Eggsplorer Quest presented by Kinder Joy when visiting the Zoo from Friday, April 1 through Sunday, April 17. For this seasonally fun scavenger search activity collect your card upon entry and look for 8 different clues while you explore the Zoo! Cards can be redeemed at the Zoo’s main exit near the entry plaza for a special prize. This activity if free for guests with general Zoo admission.
