TCAA Exhibition allows collectors to take part in preserving the legacy of traditional cowboy arts

(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, September 19, 2024) – Twenty cowboy artists will exhibit 50 pieces of original work in Oklahoma City during the 25th annual Traditional Cowboy Arts Association Exhibition & Sale, presented by Mr. and Mrs. Kraig Kirschner.

The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum has partnered with TCAA to host its annual exhibition and sale since TCAA’s founding and first show in 1999. The exhibition showcases one-of-a-kind, handcrafted works exemplifying the finest skill in saddle making, bit and spur making, silversmithing and rawhide braiding.

The exhibition opens September 27 and runs through November 17, 2024 at the Museum. The TCAA Art Sale Weekend has events happening on September 27 – 28, 2024.

Most of the TCAA Art Sale Weekend events are ticketed. They begin with the TCAA Exclusive Celebration, featuring a performance by Western musician and broadcast personality Red Steagall, on Friday, September 27 at 6:00 p.m. The Live Sale Event starts on Saturday, September 28 at 5:30 p.m., followed by an after-sale TCAA Dinner at 7:30 p.m.

However, the TCAA daytime seminars on September 27 and 28 are free to the public with Museum admission. The full TCAA exhibition will open to the public at 10 a.m. starting Friday, September 27.

Proxy service is available for buyers who cannot attend the Live Sale Event, and arrangements can be made by contacting a member of the development team at proxy@nationalcowboymuseum.org. All pieces will remain on exhibit and unsold pieces remain on sale through November 17, 2024.

“Each Traditional Cowboy Arts Association member is a master of their discipline,” said Scott Hardy, Silversmith and TCAA President. “Not only understanding purpose, but the beauty of design and ornamentation. These works of art not only give the owner pleasure, but also break the barrier between function and art.”
