You’ll want to be well-rested and highly caffeinated for a day in the Boathouse District! The entire district is geared toward outdoor recreation and water activities. Bring your sunscreen and prepare to leave your comfort zone as you whitewater raft, rock climb, surf or alpine ski (yes, you read that correctly).
What to Do
Start your day at RIVERSPORT Adventure. Check out their website beforehand and find which pass fits your group. They offer day, season and annual passes, as well as single-experience passes. Come dressed in athletic clothes or a bathing suit. Chances are you’ll get wet while whitewater rafting or tubing! You can also rent a kayak or standup paddle board. All the equipment you need is provided by RIVERSPORT.
Once you cool off in the water, climb the sky trail or ride the zip line across the Oklahoma River. You can also rock climb on the four-sided 30-foot climbing wall. Tired yet?
What to See
In addition to all the adrenaline-pumping adventures at RIVERSPORT, the Boathouse District is also a landing stop for leisurely cruises on the Oklahoma River. Oklahoma River Cruises operates Wednesday through Sunday during the summer months. After a long, exciting day of activities, take a peaceful and scenic ride down the Oklahoma River on the ferry. Find landing and departure times. Regatta Landing is located in the Boathouse District, but you can get on and off at any of the landings.
What to Taste
Big Water American Grill is an option for fuel during a long day at RIVERSPORT. They have grab-and-go salads and sandwiches, as well as made-to-order burgers and tacos. Coming soon to the Boathouse District is Bar K. This unique space will house a bar, restaurant, event space and dog park all in one!
