It's that time of year again! The Oklahoma State Fair is back September 11 through 21 at OKC Fair Park, and it’s bringing the flavor. Along with family entertainment, livestock shows and unique exhibits, the Fair is legendary for its outrageous and delicious food creations. This year’s lineup takes it to the next level, with twists on fried favorites, over-the-top desserts and daring new combinations that promise to wow your taste buds. Sweet Treats
Dubai Chocolate Mexican Funnel Cake can be found at Gringo’s. This churro funnel cake is topped with strawberries, whipped cream, pistachio cream, shredded phyllo dough, milk chocolate and powdered sugar.
The Deep-Fried Pecan Pie at Taste of OKC is a classic pecan pie slice dipped in light, fluffy batter, deep-fried and drizzled with a salted bourbon caramel sauce.
Straight Butter is available at Wondervan Pops. Cookie butter ice cream is dipped in chocolate, topped with Biscoff cookies and drizzled with white chocolate.
Huston Concessions serves the Peach Cobbler in a Cone. This dessert features sweet, warm peach cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with bourbon caramel sauce.
For a refreshing treat, try the Sour Watermelon Popsicle from Rush Springs Watermelon. It’s made with real watermelon pieces and surrounded by a sour flavoring.
Granny’s Cheesecake offers Dubai Strawberries in a Cup. Layers of strawberries, kadaifi dough and pistachio cream are covered in melted chocolate.
Cutie Pies has the Caramel Popcorn Pie, with a graham cracker crust filled with caramel popcorn pie filling, topped with whipped cream, caramel syrup and caramel popcorn.
Finally, the Blueberry Crunch Ice Cream from Your Just Desserts features soft-serve vanilla ice cream mixed with small, crunchy blueberry-flavored candies.
Savory Bites
Pickle Bacon Ranch Pizza is available at Pizza on a Stick. Freshly made pizza dough is topped with award-winning pickle ranch sauce and loaded with crisp dill pickles and bacon.
The Hot Chick at FryDay Concessions is a giant yeast-raised donut topped with southern fried chicken, thick-cut dill pickles, coleslaw and fiery Nashville hot sauce.
Honey Badger Cheese-on-a-Stick can be found at Brown's Concessions. Cheese on a stick is rolled in Cheetos seasoning and finished with hot honey sauce and spicy mayo.
Granny’s Cheesecake serves the Maple Cheesecake Bacon Burger, featuring a thick beef patty topped with bacon, a slice of cheesecake and drizzled with maple sauce, all stacked inside a soft bun.
Maccin Cowboy at Gilty Pleasure is a loaded indulgence of waffle fries topped with pulled pork, mac n’ cheese, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, sour cream, jalapeños and chives.
Rush Springs Watermelons offers the Candied Chamoy Pickle on a Stick. This sour dill pickle is wrapped in Fruit Roll-Ups, drenched in Chamoy, sprinkled with Tajín and served on a stick.
Bad Boys BBQ brings the Birria Street Corn, which is Mexican street corn topped with slow-cooked birria, cilantro, onions and a drizzle of homemade avocado-cilantro salsa.
Afrikan Delights serves Suya Goat Meat. Tender goat is marinated in a rich peanut spice blend called yaji, grilled to smoky perfection and served with fresh onions and tomatoes.
Animal Style Cheese On-A-Stick is another Brown's Concessions creation, featuring hand-dipped cheese on a stick topped with grilled onions, extra cheese and a savory sauce.
Papa Loca at La Taqueria is a fluffy baked potato stuffed with steak, cilantro, onion, guacamole, sour cream and cheese.
Viet Sausage on Sugarcane can be found at Yum Yum Bites, where savory Vietnamese sausage is wrapped around a sweet, juicy sugarcane stick.
Brandon Concessions offers the Chicken Bacon Ranch Grilled Cheese Sandwich, packed with grilled chicken, smoky bacon and gooey melted cheese drizzled with ranch dressing, all tucked inside buttery, toasted bread.
Turkish Doner Sandwich from Turkish Delights features thinly shaved beef or chicken served in a pita or flatbread with a variety of toppings and sauces.
Finally, Cool Ranch Doritos Pickles at Diventuri are pickle chips or spears breaded with Cool Ranch Doritos and deep-fried to crispy perfection.
Drinks & Sips
The Mangonada Palmer at A Latte Love is a vibrant treat, featuring mango lemonade layered with brown sugar sweet tea, Chamoy and finished with a Tamarindo candy stick.
Chan’s Eatery serves Iced Coffee with Ube Milk Foam, a Vietnamese iced coffee topped with mildly sweet, nutty vanilla ube (purple yam) milk foam for a unique and flavorful twist.
Biscoff Horchata from Agua Fresca is a refreshing take on a classic, served in a caramel-drizzled cup with a rim coated in Biscoff cookie butter and finished with crunchy Biscoff cookie crumbles.
Iconic Eats
While you're at the fair, be sure to dive into the classic eats everyone looks forward to year after year. Think crispy corn dogs, gooey cinnamon rolls, giant turkey legs, all the works. Make sure to stop by notable food stands like Dan’s Indian Tacos or Swain’s famous pizza on a stick (we suggest the pickle pizza, you won’t regret it!).
