Ho Ho Ho…How About We Go Out for Christmas Lunch (or Dinner)?

Maybe you’re in town visiting relatives and would like to treat the gang to Christmas lunch or dinner. Maybe you’re a local and you’re feeling grinchy about the brouhaha that is cooking for a crowd. Or maybe you’re an empty nester who’d rather enjoy a beautiful, elegant holiday meal without making a single thing – except a reservation, of course. Oklahoma City restaurateurs are ready, willing and able to serve you something upscale, kid-friendly or anything in between.

Christmas Day Dining

For those celebrating on the big day itself, Oklahoma City has a wide range of Christmas Day meals—everything from refined prix fixe menus to buffets, sushi, burgers and family-friendly fun.

Ramsay’s Kitchen

Ramsay’s Kitchen has two complete menu choices available, with seatings until 8 p.m., by reservation only.  Both choices start with fluffy Parker rolls and finish with sticky toffee pudding or apple butterscotch cheesecake. In between, depending on your choice, enjoy entrees like truffle risotto, lamb shoulder, crispy skin salmon, a filet and lobster tail and more. Plus wine pairings if you’re so inclined!

OKANA’s Christmas Buffet

For a late lunch or early dinner (Are we calling that linner or dunch yet? Is that a thing?), OKANA’s Christmas Buffet in its Sunrise Ballroom offers a spectacular array of choices, rates for children and adults, plus there are crafts and games all day at the resort and Santa will stroll through the ballroom during buffet hours. What do I mean by spectacular array? Here are a few of the many delights awaiting you: half-shell oysters, shrimp cocktail, baked barramundi, chicken tamales, prime rib, lobster and coconut bisque, chocolate bread pudding and so much more.

Hotels Serving Christmas Day Meals

Several Oklahoma City hotels will also be open and ready to serve Christmas Day guests:

Takaramono

Sometimes, the best idea for Christmas lunch or dinner is something completely nontraditional, and Takaramono in the Plaza District fits the bill in every way. Authentic Japanese gastronomy including sushi and sashimi, udon beef sukiyaki, wagyu skewers or burgers and clever desserts like pistachio burnt basque cheesecake await you and everyone in your sleigh!

Curveball Kitchen

An equally eccentric choice is Curveball Kitchen, with a menu of classic gameday faves and family-friendly interactive batting bays to burn off some steam.

Dave & Buster’s

Another kid-approved choice is Dave & Buster's for a bevy of state-of-the-art games served alongside kid-friendly food options like burgers, chicken strips, fish & chips and strawberry churros. Non-traditional? Yes. Unforgettable fun memories for the littles? Also yes!
