Jingle bells to one and all! During this most wonderful time of the year, amid much mistletoe-ing, your hearts may be glowing. But that doesn’t mean your ovens have to be. So be of good cheer and check out these fine restaurants – they’ve made Santa’s nice list for serving Christmas meals at lunch or dinner. Maybe both! Mom (or dad, but probably mom) has made Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners year after year after year. She (or he) could make them in her sleep. How about giving the family chef a break? And by break, we mean Christmas Dinner out!

Whether you’re looking for lunch or dinner, you’ll need a reservation. And in most cases, you’ll be expected to pay ahead. That said, there are plenty of delicious traditional and not-so-traditional holiday meals to be had on Christmas Day in Oklahoma City.

Tellers Wood Fired Italian Grill

Tellers Wood Fired Italian Grill, inside the iconic National Hotel, will serve prix fixe lunch and dinner on Christmas day. Expect choices to include a mix of holiday classics – wood-fired heritage turkey served with whipped potatoes, glazed carrots and pecan cornbread stuffing and delectable riffs on Italian favorites.

Castle Falls

Castle Falls will offer a lovely buffet, which includes non-alcoholic beverages, starters, entrees and desserts including chardonnay chicken, hand-carved herb encrusted beef tenderloin, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, green beans with carrots, chocolate lava cake, cheesecake, petit fours and chocolate mousse cakes. Reservations must be made and prepaid; cost is about $84 per person before tax and tip.

Formosa Street Food and Bar

Formosa Street Food and Bar is an unconventional yet extra-yummy Christmas Day choice. By the end of December, many of us have eaten so much ‘traditional’ holiday food that Formosa’s fun, inventive menu is a welcome respite. Try the complex, 15-spice popcorn chicken, some porky-juicy-slurpy soup dumplings or beautifully presented BB bacon Enoki mushrooms.

Milo

Milo, the restaurant attached to the swanky-chic boutique hotel The Ellison, specializes in sourcing ingredients from local producers. Reserve now and enjoy a festive Christmas menu featuring a carving station, elevated classic sides and dreamy desserts like bourbon pecan bread pudding.

Ramsay's Kitchen

Ramsay’s Kitchen will serve a smashing, multi-course prix fixe Christmas Day menu. At this writing, chefs at the OKC location were still hammering out precisely which holiday and Ramsay fan favorites will be on the menu. A little faith will surely be well rewarded. Spots are already filling up, so don’t dilly dally if this sounds like fun to you!

FLINT Kitchen & Bar

FLINT Kitchen & Bar is serving a delightful fusion of classic holiday fare and Southern-inspired specialties, meticulously crafted to celebrate the season. Each dish is made with the freshest ingredients, promising a feast that is both comforting and exceptional. You’ll get four courses for $75 per person for adults and $30 for kids 12 and under, before tax and tip.

Fogo de Chão

Fogo de Chão, known for its Brazilian churrasco-style grilled meats, offers a menu of expertly crafted creations designed to impress, churrascaria-style. While Fogo de Chão is famous for its steak, chicken, lamb and pork, the seafood offerings are equally terrific, as it its market table, a kind of seasonal array of vegetable and salad offerings. All of this makes for a memorable, new-fangled holiday meal!

The Chalkboard Kitchen + Bar

The Chalkboard Kitchen + Bar is a great spot to celebrate literally anything. For Christmas, Chef Gayland and his culinary superstars will prepare for you a three-course feast featuring holiday favorites with a sophisticated twist. Again, you’ll need to reserve and prepay.
