Romantic Getaway

Are you a sporty couple? An artsy couple? Food and wine lovers? You can plan an entire day in any of those categories.

For the artsy couple, we have a number of museums and galleries, including the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. You can always find a traveling, rotating exhibit and the collection of works by world-famous glass artist Dale Chihuly is breathtaking. Nearby is the Civic Center Music Hall, where you can catch performances by the OKC Ballet, the OKC Philharmonic and Lyric Theatre.

Couple walking through Oklahoma City's Paseo Arts District

Our largest arts district is the Paseo. Located in the center of Oklahoma City, this historic district has dozens of galleries that feature working artists. There is almost no limit to the variety of media you will find, and drinks and dining are available at Picasso Café or Paseo Grill.

Date night options abound in Oklahoma City. For wine lovers, head to The Metro Wine Bar & Bistro for one of the city’s best wine lists and a wonderful menu.

Tellers, located inside the First National, is a fine dining restaurant with an ambiance that is perfect for romantic date. Head downstairs afterward for a cocktail at the Library of Distilled SpiritsStella in Midtown is also a great date restaurant, featuring modern Italian cuisine and the largest list of Italian wines in the city.

Library of Distilled Spirits

Cocktails to end the evening are better with a view, so go for Vast, Packard’s or O Bar. They take their cocktails seriously, and theirs are the best views in the downtown area.

If you are not ready for the evening to end, dance the rest of the night away at Groovy’s or Angles. Watch live music and sing karaoke at Michael Murphy's Dueling Piano Bar in Bricktown.
