OKLAHOMA CITY (August 4, 2026) — Grab your paddle, gather your team and get ready to make a splash. RIVERSPORT’s annual PaddleMania returns Saturday, August 8, transforming the Whitewater Center into fast-paced races, creative competition and summer fun.

From raft races to homemade boat races, PaddleMania invites paddlers of all experience levels to test their skills in one of RIVERSPORT’s most entertaining events of the season. Competitors will race for bragging rights and the title of PaddleMania champion.

The annual event runs from 9 to 10 a.m. at the RIVERSPORT Whitewater Center. Admission is free for spectators. Competition is free to enter.

This year’s PaddleMania lineup includes:

·                  Battle of the Paddles: Teams go head-to-head in raft races with no practice runs or coaching.

·                  Build Your Own Boat (BYOB): Design it, build it, and see if it survives the rapids.

“PaddleMania is a chance for people to get out on the water and try something new,” said RIVERSPORT OKC Executive Director Chris Sorensen. “It's a fun way to experience the whitewater whether you’re competing with friends or watching from the sidelines.”

The event is open to a wide range of ages and skill levels, with divisions for youth and adults.

“Every year we see people come up with creative ideas and bring a great attitude to PaddleMania, Sorensen said. “The homemade boats, friendly competition and excitement from the crowd are what make this event special.”
