Pre-Departure Tips
To ensure a smooth journey, it’s advisable to arrive at the station at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. This allows ample time to manage any unforeseen delays and to settle in comfortably. Both the Fort Worth and Oklahoma City stations offer parking facilities for your convenience.
Traveling with Children
Families with young children will find the Heartland Flyer accommodating, though there are specific guidelines to keep in mind. Child car seats cannot be secured to any seats on board Amtrak trains or buses. If you're traveling with an infant or small child in a car seat, you can place the seat in a vacant seat nearby. Children under two years old may need to ride on the passenger’s lap, with the car seat stored in an appropriate baggage area.
Traveling with Pets
Pet lovers will be pleased to know that the Heartland Flyer allows small dogs and cats on board. Before you travel, make sure to learn about the types of pets allowed, pet reservations and fares, approved pet carriers and additional details here.
