Solar Eclipse Watch Event

Monday, April 8, 12-2pm

Devon Lawn

Join us on Devon Lawn to watch the eclipse! From 12pm to 2pm, join us for lunch and a prime place to see the eclipse. Though not in the path of totality, OKC will be able to see 93.9% coverage at 1:45pm. Dean McGee Eye Institute has donated free solar glasses to the first 500 attendees. Enjoy food from Wondervan Pops and Wicked Hangry. Let’s gather together to marvel at the wonders of the universe.

 

Full Moon Bike Rides RETURN

April 23, leaves 8pm

Meet at Seasonal Plaza

Bring your bike (s) and join us for this month’s 6- to 8-mile leisurely one-hour ride. Steve Schlegel of Schlegel Inspections develops the route and announces before departure. Lights and helmets are needed. There will be T-shirts and water bottles for sale. A $5 donation is suggested. Check bike rental options from Spokies. The Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City is a beautiful destination that offers 15 acres of stunning ornamental gardens and grounds. Open to the public and free of charge, visitors can enjoy a range of attractions including a children's garden, a carousel, a native prairie garden, shade gardens, tree and shrub collections, a lake with terraced gardens, and a diverse collection of ornamental flowering perennials and grasses. One of the highlights of the gardens is The Inasmuch Foundation Crystal Bridge Conservatory, which houses hundreds of tropical and desert plants. Managed by the Myriad Gardens Foundation, a nonprofit organization, the gardens collaborate with corporate and community groups to enhance the educational, aesthetic, cultural, and economic development of Oklahoma City.
