If you are looking for a fun night out, downtown Oklahoma City offers plenty to do long after the final encore. Leaving a concert at Paycom Center or The Criterion does not have to mean heading home. Just a short walk away, downtown features a wide range of nightlife options near two of the city’s largest concert venues.

Dance the night away

For visitors looking to keep moving, Bricktown offers several high-energy spots.

Lamp Post Lounge draws crowds with its retro atmosphere and lively dance floor.

Oklahoma Ranch is a 27,000-square-foot venue featuring pool tables, mechanical bull riding and six full-service bars. The spacious honky-tonk is a popular stop for two-stepping and late-night entertainment.

Relax and unwind

Those seeking a more laid-back place to wind down after a show have plenty of options.

Located across the street from Scissortail Park, Social Capital is a mess hall-style bar with more than 100 beers on tap. The rooftop level offers views of the Oklahoma City skyline, making it a popular spot for post-concert drinks.

For a classic brewery experience, Bricktown Brewery serves local beer and comfort food in a relaxed setting. The brewery closes at 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, so visitors should plan accordingly.

Situated along the Bricktown Canal, Tipsy Tiki is a lively tiki bar known for its tropical cocktails and casual atmosphere. The pet-friendly bar is open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. TVs throughout the space make it easy to catch a game while enjoying an island-inspired drink.

Wine and dine

Visitors looking for a more upscale experience can find several refined options downtown.

Inside The National, The Vault is located in a restored 1930s bank vault. The bar features ornate design elements and a wide selection of craft cocktails. Upstairs, Tellers offers Italian cuisine, wine and cocktails in an elegant setting.

Another downtown option is Red Piano Lounge, located inside the historic Skirvin Hotel. Named for its signature red piano, the lounge features wood finishes, light dining and specialty cocktails in a classic atmosphere.

Sing along

Those not ready to end the night can continue the music at Michael Murphy’s Dueling Pianos along the Bricktown Canal. The venue features rotating piano players, audience participation and a full bar.

Venture a little farther

While the West Village is slightly farther from Paycom Center and The Criterion than Bricktown, it offers additional nightlife options worth the short trip.

Flashback RetroPub combines a full-service bar with a large selection of arcade games. Nearby, The Jones Assembly features a restaurant, bar and live music venue in one expansive space.

For a different kind of nighttime energy, Remington Park features live Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing seasonally, along with casino gaming and on-site dining that extend the evening beyond downtown OKC.
